The Chick-Fil-A controversy is absolutely loaded with irony The most ironic part, of course, that the the group of people who do the most preaching about tolerance and are the greatest forces behind anti-bullying campaigns have spent the last couple of weeks acting like — you guessed it — completely intolerant bullies. It also amazes me that the SSM advocates don’t realize the degree to which they are hurting their cause by acting this way.
But there’s more irony than just that. Yesterday’s “buycott” of Chick-Fil-A in response to various big-city mayors’ bullying tactics had a slightly more amusing ironic twist, as Joshua Trevino noted on his Twitter feed:
The Chick-fil-A experience shows that Democratic officeholders have finally figured how to enact a stimulus.
Good work, sir. I am proud to share a first name with you.
